The Rev. Alfred “Al” T.K. Zadig, Jr. has been Rector of St. Michael’s Church since September, 2007.  Before becoming Rector of St. Michael’s, Al served as Rector of All Saints Church in Chevy Chase, Maryland in the Diocese of Washington, DC. Before that he served St. Michael’sChurch, Charleston as an Assistant to the Rector for 5 ½ years.

In addition to serving as Rector, Al currently serves on the board of the American Anglican Council (AAC) which exists to help create healthy churches, healthy leaders and good governance. He is also the teacher in charge of preaching for each class of Deacons for the Anglican Diocese of South Carolina. In 2023, Al also wrote his first book called: The Turbo Bible for Men, a compass and summary of each of the Old Testament books of Scripture. Previously, Al served on Diocesan Council as well as the Evangelism Commission for the Anglican Diocese of South Carolina.
