Community Thanksgiving Service
- Dates: November 23, 2023
- Location: Watch Hill Chapel
- Time: 10:00 AM
- Officiant: Dr. Cal Lord of Westerly's Central Baptist Church
- Description: Happy Thanksgiving. For those planning to be in Watch Hill over Thanksgiving weekend, please join us at our Thanksgiving day service at 10:00 AM. Dr. Cal Lord of Westerly's Central Baptist Church will officiate. Please remember to bring warm clothes and/or blankets, as the chapel is not heated. A reminder that all offerings on Thanksgiving will be matched by the Chapel and donated to local charities. Brace yourself for a different sound in the Chapel this Thanksgiving as our historic Austin organ console was packed up and sent to organ 'rehab' on November 7, but fear not, it shall return with a brand-new console (the unit containing the keyboards and pedals) with tonal enhancements that will improve the color and brightness of the organ's sound. The organ will 'winter' at Austin Organ Company's workshop in Hartford, CT, but we shall welcome it home some time in May.
