Pastor Allen retired in 2021 from South Congregational Church where he had served since 1988. A graduate of Trinity University (B.A.) and of Andover Newton Theological School (M.Div.), he is also the recipient of the International YMCA Award for Leadership and the Masonic Lodge Community Service Award. He and his wife, Andrea, have 4 children and 8 grandchildren. Pastor Allen is a tennis enthusiast and a frequent visitor to Malawi where he was a Peace Corp volunteer.
