Reverend Sarah Johnson Austin has been since 2021 the Senior Pastor,
New York Avenue Presbyterian Church, n Washington, D.C., where
President Abraham Lincoln attended while in office. Sarah received her
Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in religion from Furman
University, and her Master of Divinity degree from Princeton
Theological Seminary. She was awarded Princeton’s John T. Galloway
Award in Expository Preaching. In 2019, she completed her Doctor of
Ministry Degree from Duke Divinity School. Sarah lives in nearby
Severna Park, Maryland, with her husband, The Rev. J.C. Austin, and
their yellow lab, Lilly.
